Every year Maritime Woodbridge celebrates Woodbridge’s maritime and riverside heritage from Anglo-Saxon times to the present day.

The event is organised by and for the community. A key aspect is that it is free (and fun) for visitors, but underpinned by the heritage we all share, and which still influences the town today.

We are still working on the programme for 2014, but have a look at what has happened so far
in 2012 we celebrated 1000 years of Woodbridge as a port

In 2010 the Normans invaded but found themselves repelled by the natives

In 2008 the Vikings invaded, marauded and told sagas.
In 2007  the Anglo-Saxons came back from across the river.
